About the Role
Housekeepers are responsible for creating and maintaining a clean, safe, and attractive environment for guests onboard American Cruise Lines ships. This role involves providing outstanding hospitality and serving as a brand representative while working in a unique shipboard hotel setting.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a clean, safe, and attractive environment for guests.
- Prioritize comfort and cleanliness of staterooms, facilities, and common areas.
- Acknowledge guests by name and address housekeeping inquiries and service requests.
- Perform vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping of floors.
- Organize inventory and stock linen and supplies.
- Clean up spills and notify managers of necessary maintenance.
- Collect and dispose of trash.
- Clean upholstered furniture and lounge spaces.
- Build relationships with guests and efficiently handle housekeeping requests.
- Assist with guest embarkation, special events (e.g., afternoon tea, cocktail parties), and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Must be an American citizen or Green Card holder.
- Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without accommodation.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test, including for Marijuana and controlled substances.
- Consumption of alcohol is strictly prohibited while employed.
- Must adhere to grooming standards, including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings.
- Must be able to work under pressure, maintain composure, and have a positive attitude.
