About the Role
Curative is seeking an entry-level Staff Accountant to perform various accounting functions in a fast-paced, high-growth health insurance environment. This role involves reconciliation, daily, monthly, and year-end tasks, obligation tracking, and assisting in financial statement preparation. The ideal candidate will have excellent data analysis, start-up flexibility, and time management skills, with significant growth potential.
Responsibilities
- Ensures proper internal control and support, including supporting other company departments as it relates to payables
- Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
- Records month, year end accruals, and other accounts payable related journal entries
- Handles accounts payable for multiple related entities and vendors, properly coding for accurate financial statements
- Assists in all facets of vendor relations from facilitating setup, entering invoices, managing vendor inquiries and communication
- Prepares analyses of accounts and produces monthly reports
- Supports improvements to financial processes and procedures
- Participates in special projects and external/internal audits as required
- Assumes and performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Prior experience with NetSuite ERP System is a plus
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Team player with ability to meet deadlines, who is also self-motivated and can contribute independently
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross functionally across teams
- Strong Microsoft Office skills - comfortable with pivot tables, v-lookups and match or willingness to learn
