About the Role
La La Land Cafe is expanding rapidly, aiming for over 100 cafes across multiple states. The Architect will join the Architecture and Development team to manage design documentation for new and remodeled cafe locations, reporting to the Director of Architecture.
Responsibilities
- Develop architectural drawings and documentation for new store openings and remodels, applying LLLC's prototype and brand standards.
- Coordinate with third-party drafting partners to ensure accurate and timely construction documents.
- Review drawings for code compliance and consistency with brand and prototype standards.
- Support permitting efforts by preparing and revising plans for jurisdictional requirements.
- Collaborate with the interior design team on layouts and finish packages.
- Assist with site visits to assess conditions and address construction questions.
- Help maintain and update standard details, specifications, and prototype plans.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in commercial architecture; retail, restaurant, or hospitality experience is a plus.
- Working knowledge of building codes, ADA requirements, and permitting processes.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Comfortable collaborating across teams in a fast-paced, growing organization.
