About the Role
Serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, access points, parking areas, equipment areas, and perimeter boundaries to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access to assigned areas, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and incident documentation.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders according to established procedures.
- Report hazards, damaged barriers, suspicious activity, and other security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
