About the Role
This role is for a Past Founder to own high-impact work across Cogent, applying their venture-backed company operating experience to the development of autonomous AI agents for enterprise security. The role is scoped to the individual's strengths, allowing them to own a workstream end-to-end and collaborate directly with the founding team.
Responsibilities
- Own critical initiatives end-to-end, driving them from idea through execution.
- Work directly with the founding team to identify and solve high-priority problems.
- Build systems for scaling Cogent, including processes, playbooks, and operational infrastructure.
- Engage with enterprise customers and their security teams to inform product development and positioning.
- Hire and develop a team to support the growing workstream.
Requirements
- Founded or co-founded a venture-backed startup and operated through early stages.
- Experience building product, hiring a team, managing a board, and making high-stakes decisions with incomplete information.
- Experience operating on venture timelines.
- Alumni of a top accelerator like Y Combinator, Techstars, or a similar program.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and taking ownership without direction.
- Experience running a company with intensity for a scaling team and Fortune 500 customers.
