About the Role
Black & McDonald is seeking a committed and collaborative Mobile Maintenance Mechanic to join their growing team in Toronto. This role reports directly to the Facility Supervisor and involves ensuring the optimal functionality and safety of properties and sites through routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and corrective maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular property and site condition inspections.
- Complete inspections associated with preventive maintenance tasks, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire/life safety equipment.
- Maintain utility rooms.
- Monitor, adjust, and support fire panel and pump maintenance.
- Conduct visual and physical inspections of various equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Perform various corrective maintenance tasks, including gutter cleanouts, fence repairs, brick and mortar repairs, and general landscaping.
- Ensure all equipment is operated safely and efficiently, adhering to client policies and regulations.
- Respond to tenant requests, providing exceptional customer service.
- Support business initiatives such as audit preparation and maintenance of communication boards.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in the maintenance and repair of complex building systems.
- HVAC experience is required.
- Knowledge and experience with building automation systems (BAS).
- Valid Ontario G driver’s license.
- Ability to travel in and around the GTA.
- Ability to bend and lift under 30 kg.
- Must be able to obtain reliability or secret clearance.
- Proficient user of MS365 Suite.
