About the Role
Royal Ambulance is seeking a hands-on Fleet Maintenance Technician specializing in tire and preventive maintenance inspections to ensure the safety and reliability of our ambulance fleet. This role is suited for individuals with automotive and tire experience who thrive on independent problem-solving and enjoy a varied workday.
Responsibilities
- Perform tire inspections, rotations, mounting, balancing, and replacements.
- Complete preventive maintenance inspections and basic oil changes.
- Handle light vehicle repairs including doors, windows, seats, mirrors, wipers, dashboards, and cabinets.
- Replace interior, exterior, and emergency vehicle lighting.
- Perform gurney preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs.
- Adjust or replace antler rails and lock bars.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of automotive or tire service experience.
- Experience with tire mounting and balancing equipment.
- Clean driving record.
- Possession of basic hand tools for tire service and light repairs.
- Basic computer skills for maintenance tracking.
- Ability to travel between Royal Ambulance stations.
