About the Role
The Peter Roth Internship Program offers a paid apprenticeship experience for undergraduate students interested in a career in television. It aims to inspire the next generation of television professionals by embodying Peter Roth’s ideals of innovative storytelling, support for writers, and passion for television. The program emphasizes nurturing diverse creative voices and portrayals.
Responsibilities
- Participate in an extensive course using the Paley Archive to understand the importance of diverse voices and portrayals on television.
- Attend guest lectures, meet-and-greets, and Q&A sessions with industry professionals.
- Gain appreciation for the art of storytelling.
- Gain first-hand experience working at the Paley Center.
- Participate in site visits to networks and sets to understand the business side of television.
Requirements
- Must be an undergraduate student currently enrolled in a college degree program at an accredited college/university.
- Must have a GPA of 3.2 or higher.
- Must be a junior or senior in the fall of 2026.
- Provide a resume and cover letter.
- Provide answers to 3 essay questions.
- Provide 2 letters of recommendation from a professor, school advisor, or current/former supervisor.
- Provide 1 writing sample for collegiate coursework related to media or the media industry (at most 3 pages, encouraged but not required).
- Submit an unofficial transcript for the initial application.
- Finalists will be required to submit an official school transcript.
