About the Role
The Database Monitoring product is a rapidly growing area at Datadog, focusing on self-healing capabilities for databases. This role involves leading initiatives from inception, owning business lines, building and developing engineering teams, and launching new features that provide measurable value to developers. AI-forward leaders with product engineering backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Launch new products and businesses into new markets.
- Drive adoption and business outcomes alongside technical delivery, using customer feedback and product data to guide investment.
- Continuously challenge the team to think about new vectors for market penetration.
- Own the roadmap of the Database Monitoring product, with particular emphasis on AI features and developer personas.
- Hire, mentor, and develop engineering managers and staff engineers across multiple geographies.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience partnering directly with customers to refine product experiences, find product-market fit, and coach teams through the process.
- Takes ownership beyond product delivery, leading the go-to-market strategy and driving adoption and commercial success.
- Proven track record scaling exceptional product engineering teams: hiring, coaching, performance management, and building appropriate team structures.
- Experience deploying applications on Postgres.
