About the Role
AGE-WELL is Canada’s technology and aging network, mobilizing a community of researchers, organizations, older adults, caregivers, and future leaders to accelerate the delivery of technology-based solutions. This role supports projects funded through the envisAGE program, connecting SMEs developing AgeTech solutions with adoption and evaluation partners. The Project Management Leader will guide projects through their full lifecycle, including creation, progress management, risk oversight, expense claims, and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Onboarding new partners into the AGE-WELL network and envisAGE projects.
- Supporting connections and communication between potential and confirmed envisAGE project stakeholders.
- Following up on Expressions of Interest and other leads.
- Evaluating Letters of Intent and supporting applicants developing full proposals.
- Supporting due diligence of SMEs.
- Ensuring effective communication and collaboration between project collaborators, researchers, and envisAGE program stakeholders.
- Ensuring reporting requirements are met.
- Supporting quarterly expense claims for active projects.
- Monitoring adherence to project timelines, identifying issues and risks, and helping to resolve or escalate them.
- Anticipating and responding to partner and project stakeholder concerns and challenges.
- Collaborating with other envisAGE team members in support of specific stakeholders.
- Contributing to the envisAGE program, including calls for innovation, Annual Forum, and virtual events.
- Participating in broader AGE-WELL Network Management Office initiatives.
- Supporting AGE-WELL's responsibility to partners belonging to the AGE-WELL Network.
Requirements
- At minimum, a completion of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Health Sciences, Engineering, Gerontology, etc.) is required.
- A minimum of three years’ experience in project management, research management / administration or equivalent position.
- Proficiency in establishing rapport with diverse stakeholders including: startups, entrepreneurs, researchers and organizations serving older adults in a variety of settings.
- Highly competent and effective presentation and meeting facilitation skills.
- Experience in client recruitment, support and retention.
- Adaptable and flexible to project needs and timelines.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize.
- Attentive to detail and process-oriented.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Coachable with a passion for ongoing learning.
- A Criminal Record Check may be required.
