About the Role
Hamilton-Madison House seeks a Temporary Part-Time Substitute Farm Stand Manager to oversee an outdoor farm stand promoting healthy communities through access to fresh, locally grown produce. This on-call position operates as needed through November 29, 2026, reporting to the Youth Development Manager.
Responsibilities
- Train, supervise, and evaluate youth staff in displaying and selling produce.
- Oversee weekly farm stand set-up and operation, including cash and coupon handling.
- Place weekly produce orders based on previous sales data.
- Pick up ordered produce and manage unsold items.
- Manage weekly recordkeeping, fiscal wrap-up, and deposit of sales proceeds.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Business or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
- Knowledge/experience in fresh local produce display and sales at farmer markets.
- Experience working with youth ages 14 and up preferred.
- Familiarity with NYS Farmer's Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) coupons, EBT cards, and NYC Health Bucks.
