About the Role
This role supports the bank's senior management team in setting strategic direction and managing debt structuring risk. The successful candidate will lead the Barclays team in complex debt structuring across investment and development opportunities, expert risk assessment, and senior stakeholder engagement.
Responsibilities
- Structure, recommend, and implement debt products and services to clients in collaboration with account managers.
- Manage debt structuring, including team oversight, performance, and departmental goals.
- Manage relationships with debt structuring stakeholders and maintain the quality of external services.
- Manage key stakeholder relationships within target companies to understand needs and recommend solutions.
- Manage debt structuring risk by identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies.
- Monitor the financial performance of transactions and the debt structuring department.
- Conduct market research to identify market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes.
- Support clients by leading debt structuring, risk assessment, and stakeholder engagement.
- Collaborate with real estate specialist bankers and other internal teams.
- Act as an ambassador for Barclays, engaging with real estate professionals, investors, and advisers.
- Support a portfolio of real estate clients, driving growth and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Develop colleagues through coaching and sharing industry insights.
