About the Role
HarperCollins Publishers Corporate Communications team seeks an intern to assist with internal communications, media relations, social media, and corporate events. This role offers a unique opportunity to learn how a global publisher engages with its employees and the wider world, collaborating across numerous imprints and countries. Ideal for a detail-oriented, curious, and enthusiastic writer.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Corporate Communications team with daily tasks.
- Write employee-centric content for company intranet, newsletters, and memos.
- Draft press releases, build media lists, and monitor coverage for corporate announcements and campaigns.
- Develop and schedule content for HarperCollins's corporate LinkedIn channels and track post performance.
- Design basic graphic assets in Canva for social campaigns, announcements, and initiatives.
- Draft congratulatory letters to authors who hit the New York Times bestseller list.
- Conduct research and write projects spotlighting HarperCollins milestones and authors.
- Assist with content planning, special projects, and day-to-day team support.
Requirements
- Must be available to work in the NYC office from Monday – Thursday for 28 hours per week, from June 7 – August 12, 2027.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.

- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong writing, proofreading, and copyediting abilities.
- Energetic, self-reliant, and able to work independently.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and a creative, resourceful mindset.
- Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism to communicate effectively with leadership.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
