About the Role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will use strong communication and customer service skills while reporting observations and responding to alarms. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, business areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, unauthorized access, and maintenance concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials in accordance with site-specific procedures, and report access-control concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying site contacts and/or emergency responders as required.
- Complete detailed activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications while maintaining a professional presence that helps to deter unauthorized activity.
Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
