About the Role
The 2027 Summer Internship Program is a paid 10-week learning experience designed to immerse interns in the daily operations of a global financial services company. Participants will gain industry and organizational knowledge through business interactions and assignments, work on projects impacting the business, interact with senior leaders, and network with employees and other interns.
Responsibilities
- Partner with leaders across Operations, Claims, Service and Transformation to support strategic initiatives focused on enhancing the customer and Guardian Colleague experience.
- Analyze operational and customer data to identify opportunities for improvement using data analytics tools such as SQL, Python, Microsoft Co-Pilot and Claude.
- Assist in the development of executive presentations, business cases and strategic recommendations for investment.
- Develop learning and development plans for newly implemented improvements to the colleague’s experience.
- Work and learn from supportive leaders, mentors, and team members across the organization.
- Learn about Guardian’s purpose, values, how we work, and our suite of product and service offerings.
- Build a network of colleagues and have a sense of community with other interns and other parts of the business.
- Think broadly and ask questions about data, facts, and other information.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Finance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future.
- Must be available for the full program dates of the internship program.

- Proficiency using data analytics and generative AI tools, such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, MAI Image 2.5 Flash, Flux.2 Flex, and GPT-Image, to support research, analysis, and business insights.
