About the Role
As an Onsite Project Manager, you will play a central role in the successful implementation of complex technical security and infrastructure solutions for modern data centers, from planning through construction to customer handover.
Responsibilities
- Lead, organize, and monitor projects and construction measures in the data center sector.
- Manage, provide technical leadership, and plan the deployment of technician teams, as well as coordinate subcontractors.
- Review technical feasibility, resource allocation, material requirements, and execution planning.
- Participate in site meetings and act as a central point of contact for the customer on-site.
- Control deviations/blockages and document them using tools like ES Office, Bluebeam, PlanRadar.
- Create and maintain technical documentation (e.g., wiring plans, connections, drawings, QM documentation).
- Program, commission, and hand over technical systems, including customer training.
- Calculate, negotiate, and forward additional services to the senior project management structure.
- Participate in project planning, measurements, billing, progress tracking (POC), and quality assurance.
- Ensure compliance with all normative requirements (DIN, VDE, VdS, VOB, BGB), EHS, and safety guidelines.
- Conduct site inspections and process material returns (RMA).
- Represent the company to customers, partners, and internal interfaces.
Requirements
- Several years of professional experience in the realization of large construction or security projects, ideally in the data center sector.
- Experience with systems from manufacturers such as AMAG, LENEL S2, GENETEC, AVIGILON, SYMETRY, HONEYWELL, etc.
- Completed technical training, ideally as a technician or master craftsman.
- Very good knowledge of low-voltage technology, security electronics, IT/network technology.
- Experience in project management (planning, control, KPIs, billing).
- Experience in leading teams and subcontractors.
- Structured, independent, and solution-oriented way of working.
- Strong sense of cost and responsibility.
- Fluent German language skills, good English skills in speaking and writing.
- Proficient in MS Office and CAD software (AutoCAD, Visio).
- Willingness to travel throughout Germany and be present on-site at our customers.
- Knowledge of the ERP system ES Office is desirable.
- Strong communication and organizational skills are desirable.
- Diplomatic skill and confident customer interaction are desirable.
