About the Role

As a Supervised Instructor Therapist, you will be an integral part of our specialized services for clients with Autism Spectrum Disorders or other developmental disabilities. You will work with an interdisciplinary team of experts to support clients in achieving their goals, empowering you to enrich lives and achieve amazing results.

Responsibilities

Implement treatment plans based on best practices.
Use systematic methods and behavioral strategies to support client behavior change.
Contribute to the development of ABA programs to teach and reinforce skills for children and youth in 1:1 and/or small group settings.
Understand the functions of behavior and respond appropriately and safely.
Adhere to all ABA training, procedures, and protocols.
Adapt to changing conditions and/or routine and provide creative solutions.
Create a positive and engaging environment for the client.
Maintain the well-being and safety of the client.
Track client progress through data collection and graphing while keeping clients engaged.
Assist in conducting baseline measurements and other indirect measures as instructed.
Complete incident reports in Microsoft Teams within 24 hours of an incident.
Prepare teaching materials and organize the teaching environment.
Document exceptional circumstances, complete ABC logs, and track multiple behaviors.
Organize and maintain program binders for each client.
Maintain workspace organization and cleanliness.
Support clients with personal care tasks such as dressing, toileting, and eating.
Complete indirect work under the direction of the clinician within the allotted time and framework.

Requirements

Diploma or degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), Early Childhood Education (ECE), Educational Assistant (EA), Child and Youth Care, or another related field.
Experience working with groups of children in a classroom, childcare, camp, therapeutic, or educational setting.
Passion for creating engaging, play-based learning opportunities through crafts, songs, games, movement activities, and structured academic programming.
Experience supporting the development of communication, social, play, self-regulation, and school readiness skills.
Ability to plan, prepare, and adapt activities to meet diverse learning and behavioral needs.
Strong classroom management skills with the ability to foster a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
Flexible and adaptable to shifting clinical and operational priorities.
Supports both direct client programming and indirect classroom/clinic responsibilities.
Demonstrates strong accountability, reliability, and follow-through in independent and collaborative team environments.
Experience implementing ABA principles and behavior support strategies is required.
Experience working under the supervision of a Behaviour Analyst is considered an asset.
