About the Role
Amazon's Worldwide Operations network is seeking motivated, customer-focused individuals to join their team as an Area Manager. In this role, you will lead a team of hourly employees, ensuring safety, quality, attendance, and performance standards are met while maintaining customer expectations for timely deliveries. You will play a key part in the last mile customer experience within the Rapid and Rural Logistics (R2L) organization, innovating for speed and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Support, mentor, and motivate your team
- Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises
- Collaborate with support teams (Safety, Ops Integration, Loss Prevention, Human Resources) to meet business objectives
- Lift up to 49 pounds, stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours
- Frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
- Continuously climb and descend stairs
- Work in an environment with variable noise levels and temperatures
- Work a flexible schedule, including weekends and/or overnight shifts
Requirements
- 2+ years of employee and performance management experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
- Ability to work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
