About the Role
This position is responsible for all aspects of pSemi products from kick-off until end of life, ensuring high-quality product releases by establishing proper test and characterization coverage, and meeting performance, cost, and quality targets. The role involves interfacing with various groups to drive projects to completion and verify effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Ensure new products meet product development requirements prior to production release.
- Support production, characterization, and reliability plans.
- Support design engineering with extensive data analysis and reporting.
- Launch new products into high volume production by evaluating reliability, properties, and techniques.
- Support experiments to study product performance and capabilities.
- Analyze test and characterization data to identify performance issues or confirm product meets marketing requirements.
- Monitor initial product yields and quality and apply data analysis skills to drive improvements during production.
- Support review and disposition of production lots.
- Assist with test time reduction efforts.
- Review changes in production processes and their impact on product performance or reliability.
- Perform electrical characterization to support change qualification.
- Conduct failure analysis studies on customer returns or to study yield-impacting failure modes.
- Lead activities and efforts on cross-functional teams based on manager guidance.
- Provide technical leadership to transition new products to mass production.
- Oversee tasks to ensure schedules are maintained and technical data meets project objectives prior to release to mass production.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in Product Engineering or Design Engineering
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
- Team player with a strong sense of urgency to meet product requirements on schedule
- Background with software such as Datapower, JMP, Cadence, Matlab
- Background working with large datasets and applying statistical methods to draw conclusions
- Hands-on use of RF measurement equipment to validate performance
- Experience with any programming language included with or similar to the following: VBA or VBScript, C, JSL, MATLAB, Windows Batch or PowerShell, Java, Python.
