About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Senior Officer, working on our Cancer Awareness Roadshow. We need you to support the day-to-day planning and delivery of the Cancer Awareness Roadshow, and other nurse-led cancer awareness activity in the community. Further to this, you’ll manage our Health Awareness Volunteer Programme - our team of volunteers who support Roadshow activity.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Health Community Engagement (HCE) Manager as a day-to-day contact for the logistics agency, attending meetings, overseeing and sharing the activity schedule, and escalating issues.
  • Manage the overall planning and agenda for campaign meetings, working with the wider Roadshow team and consulting with internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor, quality control, and conduct annual content review of Roadshow materials.
  • Manage the relationship with the Regional Press team and oversee all related press activity.
  • Recruit, train, and manage the team’s Health Awareness Volunteers, and evaluate and develop the programme.
  • Contribute to the planning of the team’s public-facing community engagement work and input into wider plans for the HCE team.
  • Represent the work of the team internally and externally as required.

Requirements

  • Must be eligible to work in the UK.
  • CVs are required for all applications.

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

  • Willing to travel for regional activity, meetings and conferences.

  • High-flex (1 – 2 days per week in the office)

Salary/Compensations

  • £39,000 - £42,000 per annum
