About the Role
Sun Life Canada’s Group Retirement Services is a market leader in Capital Accumulation Plans in Canada. The Senior Consultant, Strategy and Enablement will support leaders in GRS with strategy development, planning, and enablement, driving the vision to become a lifetime savings partner for working Canadians.
Responsibilities
- Independently conduct quantitative and qualitative research and analysis.
- Prepare and deliver recommendations on priority strategy questions for GRS.
- Track strategic initiatives, including monthly reporting.
- Engage senior stakeholders.
- Support the delivery of strategic projects, including workstream management, problem definition and structuring, collaboration with cross-functional teams, providing updates, and timely execution of deliverables.
- Track monthly progress on key strategic projects and initiatives for GRS, including preparing reports on progress of GRS OKRs to share with senior leaders.
- Conduct financial and business analysis employing business strategy frameworks, interpreting analytical results, generating insights and recommendations.
- Follow market trends and competitor actions in the GRS space, perform market analysis to identify areas of opportunity, and communicate key findings with GRS leaders.
- Prepare and deliver formal presentations and informal updates for management; present results and engage partners in discussion on executing next steps and implementing recommendations.
- Co-lead the delivery of strategy projects across GRS in partnership with GRS partners, cross-BU partners, and Canada Strategy.
Requirements
- Strong conceptual problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to structure business problems, formulate and test hypotheses, and develop recommendations.
- Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel; ability to conduct both quantitative and qualitative analysis, and an aptitude for interpreting and synthesizing results.
- Experience in conducting in-depth secondary research.
- Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills, including the ability to prepare formal business reports and presentations (PowerPoint).
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, including ability to build and maintain relationships with business partners.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize and organize work effectively to deliver on tight timelines, with high attention to detail.
