About the Role
NewsNation is seeking a part-time Stage Manager to direct the studio floor in a fast-paced News/Production environment, serving as the primary liaison between the control room, on-air talent, and stage crew.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a professional environment on the studio floor.
- Read an ENPS show rundown.
- Cue talent and relay pertinent information to studio staff.
- Manage time for all in-studio talent and guests.
- Stay aware of constant changes within the show's broadcast.
- Lead the studio production crew while keeping on-air talent at ease.
- Determine needs of upcoming segments, identifying production elements including props and set elements in coordination with Directors and Stagehands.
- Perform other duties as assigned by network leadership.
Requirements
- Prior control room and studio experience at broadcast networks.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Detail-oriented.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Weekends, early mornings, evenings, and holidays may be part of the schedule with overtime as situations demand.
- DGA position.
- Union membership is required.
