About the Role
Parsons is seeking an experienced Director– Water/Wastewater to support and lead the planning, design, and execution of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for a candidate with strong technical and project leadership experience across collection systems, pump stations, distribution systems, and treatment processes.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to water and wastewater infrastructure projects from planning through design, permitting, procurement, and construction support.
- Serve as the subject matter specialist on current/future water/wastewater projects.
- Support PM on developing project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk management activities.
- Oversee and coordinate technical teams involved in collection systems, pump stations, water distribution systems, and water and wastewater treatment processes.
- Support business development efforts, including proposal preparation, client presentations, and relationship management.
- Attend onsite client meetings, coordination meetings, and field visits as needed.
- Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations, codes, and client standards.
- Provide mentorship and direction to junior engineers and project staff.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
- Monitor project performance and proactively resolve issues that may affect delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline.
- 20+ years of related work experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects involving collection systems, pump stations, distribution systems, and water/wastewater treatment processes.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams and managing client relationships.
- Strong understanding of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure design and delivery.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and project resources effectively.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to attend onsite meetings and travel as required.
