About the Role
This foundational role in the early stages of the Global Procurement team at WMG involves implementing a modern, strategic procurement function to support the company's creative vision and operational goals. You will be instrumental in shaping the future of how WMG conducts business.
Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of the new procurement department, establishing guidelines and key strategies.
- Support the Strategic Sourcing Manager in the end-to-end procurement lifecycle across all Indirect Spend Categories.
- Proactively support procurement leadership in the management of a portfolio of multi-million-dollar contracts, ensuring compliance and mitigating risk.
- Conduct detailed spend analysis at various levels across categories, highlighting areas of opportunity for savings and synergies.
- Provide support to business stakeholders in helping to understand procurement processes and workflows to improve efficiency across the organization.
- Serve as an SME for our Intake and Orchestration tool, providing training and user support.
- Analyze responses to RFPs, providing key insights to procurement leadership to help drive negotiations and secure optimal pricing and terms.
Requirements
- At least 4-6 years of experience in indirect procurement.
- Prior experience working with IT/Technology, Corporate Services, Facilities, and Marketing categories.
- Strong ability to perform data analysis and provide actionable insights and suggestions.
- Strong communication skills to discuss categories and projects with procurement leadership.
- Meticulous with a sharp eye for contract review.
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel for financial and data analysis.
- Ability to build strong relationships with partners and suppliers.
- Ability to work independently, lead projects, and hit the ground running.
- Strong experience building presentations that show actionable items and suggestions derived from analysis.
