About the Role
Air Comfort Service Group is seeking an experienced Commercial Kitchen Equipment Technician to join our growing Food Services Division. We are looking for a dependable technician who can diagnose and repair commercial cooking equipment while delivering the professional service our customers expect.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial cooking and food-service equipment
- Service ovens, ranges, fryers, griddles, steamers, kettles, warmers, dishwashers, and related equipment
- Troubleshoot gas, electric, steam, plumbing, mechanical, and control-system issues
- Perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections
- Identify unsafe equipment conditions and communicate repair recommendations promptly
- Test equipment after repairs to confirm safe and proper operation
- Clearly document work performed, parts used, equipment condition, and recommendations
- Communicate professionally with customers, dispatchers, supervisors, and other technicians
- Participate in the department’s on-call rotation
- Follow manufacturer requirements and all company and customer safety procedures
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of commercial kitchen equipment experience preferred
- Strong electrical, gas, mechanical, and plumbing diagnostic skills
- Experience servicing equipment from multiple commercial manufacturers
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and service manuals
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift equipment and materials and work in active commercial kitchens
- Professional appearance and strong customer-service skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team
