Responsibilities

  • Own continuous market sensing, including industry trends, regulatory changes, competitive movements, and win/loss analysis, to inform product roadmap prioritization.
  • Define, maintain, and promote the Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), buyer personas, and customer journey maps.
  • Lead voice-of-customer research programs, including interviews and advisory boards.
  • Own the monetization strategy, including pricing models, packaging, bundling, and willingness-to-pay analysis.
  • Develop and manage portfolio-level and product-level positioning and messaging architecture.
  • Translate product capabilities into customer benefits and quantified business outcomes.
  • Orchestrate product launches, including go-to-market plans and cross-functional readiness.
  • Manage post-sale commercial narratives, including activation, adoption, cross-sell, and retention strategies.
  • Build and lead a high-performing product marketing team, defining job architecture and developing talent.
  • Represent the market perspective to executive leadership and establish key interlocks for function operation.
  • Define and report on business outcome metrics for the product marketing function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, Communications, or related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in product marketing, product management, or commercial strategy within B2B technology, SaaS, or business services, with multi-product portfolio responsibility.
  • 5+ years of experience leading a product marketing team, including people leaders, with hiring and development accountability.
  • 3+ years of direct ownership of pricing, packaging, or monetization strategy with measurable revenue or margin accountability.
  • 3+ years of experience influencing product roadmap decisions using market, buyer, and competitive evidence in a matrixed organization.
  • 3+ years of experience in HCM, payroll, HR technology, benefits, insurance, or financial services serving small and mid-sized businesses.
  • Proven experience transforming a product marketing function from execution-oriented to strategic and market-facing.
