About the Role

As the first Account Executive in the US, you will own the development and growth of the US sales pipeline, from prospecting and initiating conversations to negotiation and closing deals. Your primary responsibility will be acquiring new K-12 customers, fostering relationships with senior technology leaders, and establishing Secure Schools within the US market. This is a hands-on role with high autonomy, requiring you to generate opportunities independently. You will collaborate closely with the Founder and CEO, influence the US market strategy, and build the foundational sales playbook for future team growth.

Responsibilities

  • Build pipeline from scratch across targeted K-12 districts, proactively identifying prospects and opening new business opportunities.
  • Own the full sales cycle from discovery and demonstration to negotiation and closing, meeting sales targets.
  • Build strong relationships with CTOs, IT Directors, and other senior technology leaders in K-12 districts.
  • Manage RFP responses end-to-end, including narrative, pricing, security, and data privacy sections.
  • Structure and close pilot and proof-of-value engagements with clear conversion terms.
  • Utilize purchasing co-ops, state procurement vehicles, and other contract routes to list and activate Secure Schools.
  • Build relationships across the wider buying group, engaging business offices, superintendents, and boards alongside technology stakeholders.
  • Attend national and state conferences to generate pipeline, build relationships, and increase market awareness.
  • Develop early customers into strong references and case studies.
  • Collaborate with the Co-Founder and CEO to share market insights and shape the US go-to-market approach.
  • Document successful strategies to develop a practical sales playbook for future hires and scaling the US sales operation.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in building pipeline from scratch and consistently generating new business.
  • Experience selling to K-12 districts, ideally with an existing network of senior technology decision-makers.
  • Experience selling SaaS into K-12 districts or other public-sector/education verticals.
  • Strong track record of owning the full sales cycle and meeting targets.
  • Technical credibility to engage effectively with senior technology leaders.
  • Experience managing RFPs and formal tender processes with strong written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with purchasing co-ops, state contract vehicles, and public-sector procurement processes is advantageous.
  • Experience selling security, compliance, or assurance products is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills and ability to develop trust in longer sales cycles.
  • Commercially driven and target-focused with resilience and determination.
  • Highly proactive and self-motivated, comfortable creating opportunities independently.
  • Organized and disciplined, able to manage a large territory and multiple opportunities.
  • Resourceful and adaptable, able to work independently and solve problems.
  • Comfortable working closely with a founder while taking ownership of market and results.
  • Willingness to travel for conferences, customer meetings, and relationship building.
  • Ambitious and excited by the opportunity to join an early-stage, mission-led business.
  • Motivated by building something from the ground up and shaping the US sales organization.
