About the Role
Provide services to adults diagnosed with mental illness living in a group home, fostering a culture of inclusion and belonging.
Responsibilities
- Provide supportive counseling.
- Teach rehabilitation skills including daily living, medication management, and coping strategies.
- Provide crisis intervention and prevention.
- Facilitate recreation activities for socialization and stress reduction.
- Maintain a clean and healthy environment by ensuring clients complete chores and assisting with cleaning.
- Provide transportation to clients using agency vehicles.
Requirements
- High school diploma required; college classes in human services preferred.
- Demonstrated ability in helping others.
- Experience working with individuals diagnosed with mental illness or other human service experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Valid and insurable driver's license.
- Must have a personal vehicle for business use when not transporting clients.
- Ability to be organized with good time management skills.
