About the Role
The Talent Development Partner drives organizational talent capability by partnering with leaders to identify skills gaps and design effective talent development solutions. This role ensures development efforts align with Starling's strategy and utilizes data to measure initiative effectiveness, fostering a high-performance culture.
Responsibilities
- Partner with People Partners, leaders, and senior leadership to map capability needs and identify critical skills gaps.
- Ensure talent development initiatives align with business goals and long-term strategies.
- Challenge initial requests, diagnose capability/performance issues, and determine appropriate interventions.
- Own the end-to-end design and delivery of talent development interventions, deciding whether to build, buy, or curate solutions.
- Create innovative learning solutions to address capability problems.
- Develop and utilize talent analytics, LMS data, and dashboards to measure intervention effectiveness and ROI.
- Drive workstreams and large-scale talent activities, influencing across teams.
- Share knowledge, contribute to best practices, and act as a recognized expert in talent development.
Requirements
- Proven experience translating business strategy into actionable talent development initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to canvas diverse perspectives and foster an inclusive culture.
- Track record of simplifying complex strategic messages and influencing diverse stakeholders.
- Expertise in leveraging talent analytics and LMS data to evaluate skills gaps and measure learning ROI.
- Strong project management background with accountability and transparent decision-making.
- Proven track record designing, delivering, and evaluating large-scale talent development initiatives.
- Significant experience using influencing and co-creating skills across the organization.
- Expert in-person and virtual facilitation skills, with the ability to challenge when necessary.
- Experience owning end-to-end projects and delivering with minimal guidance.
- Experience using data and analytics to drive continuous improvement in talent development offerings.
- Experience operating within a scaling organization in the Tech or FinTec sector.
- Experience in using AI in talent development programmes or a passion for using AI and technology (Desirable).
- Experience in supporting large-scale change programmes (Desirable).
- Experience in strategically leveraging the Apprenticeship Levy (Desirable).
- Experience in identifying talent and potential, using data to inform succession and career development (Desirable).
