About the Role

English National Ballet is seeking a Participation Officer to join their Engagement team. This role provides essential administrative and logistical support for the delivery of learning, participation, and community work, supporting programmes like youth dance, schools' engagement, and community projects.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate timetables, term dates, and logistics for classes, youth, and community projects.
  • Serve as the day-to-day contact for freelance artists, coordinating schedules, circulating briefs, and processing contracts.
  • Source and book studio space and verify health and safety compliance for external dance spaces and community venues.
  • Administer booking systems, create registers, and track attendance data for evaluation.
  • Respond to inquiries from parents, adult students, schools, venues, and community partners.
  • Support event and workshop delivery, including space preparation, timing oversight, artist support, and health and safety compliance.
  • Collect data, set up surveys, and compile feedback, case studies, and information for reports and reviews.
  • Support designated projects in line with agreed project goals.

Requirements

  • Experience providing administrative services in a busy office environment within a dance, arts, or education organization.
  • A keen interest in dance and youth and community engagement.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workload to manage volume and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with suppliers and other internal and external contacts.
  • Willingness and ability to work outside core hours and at weekends as required.
