About the Role
The Account Manager is a proven high performer within the Inbound Sales team, acting as the primary point of contact for inbound loan applications. This role involves assisting customers, educating them on Funding Circle's offerings, and converting inbound leads into accepted loans.
Responsibilities
- Establish instant rapport with customers via telephone and email to cultivate successful relationships.
- Gain knowledge and understanding of the wider lending market and Funding Circle’s direct competitors.
- Pitch the Funding Circle proposition against alternative funding options.
- Manage a high-volume, fast-paced pipeline, supporting clients through the application process.
- Achieve personal monthly targets and continuously develop and improve sales approach.
- Proactively problem-solve, identify, and mitigate risks, issues, or control weaknesses.
- Add value through upselling and cross-selling Funding Circle products and partner lender offerings.
Requirements
- Relevant experience in a high-volume sales environment focused on closing deals.
- Strong communication skills, with confidence engaging small business owners over the phone and via email.
- Ability to continually develop and maintain a pipeline while managing ongoing applications.
- Proactivity and a desire to develop a career and take on feedback.
