About the Role

Oversee accounting functions for company restaurants within Restaurant Brands International Inc., a global quick service restaurant company. This role involves managing accounting programs, coordinating close processes, and driving process improvements in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Execute month-end GL close and internal control processes.
Serve as a key resource for technical accounting, SAP knowledge, and internal processes.
Prepare analyses and develop processes for recording and monitoring accounting transactions.
Review and ensure timely and accurate completion of balance sheet reconciliations.
Collaborate on projects with cross-functional teams.
Prepare statutory financial statements.
Act as a key contact for external and internal auditors, coordinating SOX and Accounting work.
Review key monthly deliverables for Global Accounting and SEC Reporting teams.

Requirements

Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and/or Controller experience.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Desire to develop and learn, particularly in process understanding and automation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to learn processes and procedures quickly.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish relationships.
Ability to work well in a dynamic, high-pace environment.
Great attention to detail and ability to prepare high-quality work.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Experience with large complex data structures.
Self-starter able to work proactively and independently.
