About the Role

The Cape Breton-Victoria Regional Centre for Education (CBVRCE) is seeking individuals to accompany special needs students on school buses, assisting them with boarding and disembarking. The CBVRCE supports approximately 12,000 students in 38 schools and fosters a caring, dynamic, and creative educational environment.

Responsibilities

Help children on and off the bus, ensuring safety and allowing independence where possible.
Operate the wheelchair lift and secure wheelchairs.
Ensure children in wheelchairs are safely transported from the bus into the school.
Verify all children are securely seated on the bus.
Maintain constant supervision of children while on the bus.
Become familiar with students' medical or other relevant issues.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
