About the Role
The Universal Banker (UB) assists bank clients with transactions, opening new accounts, and verifying identity. They are responsible for sales and servicing of all bank products and services, maintaining knowledge of current promotions, and providing operational support with exceptional customer service while adhering to essential controls and safeguards.
Responsibilities
- Maintain exceptional customer service standards and create a welcoming environment.
- Accurately process transactions and open new accounts promptly, requesting required identification.
- Suggest improvements to customer experience to Branch Management.
- Stay current with Federal and State laws, regulations, and Bank policies.
- Process teller transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, transfers, and check cashing.
- Process and validate accuracy of coin and currency amounts for cash shipments.
- Monitor and maintain branch cash supply.
- Process assigned reports and job duties accurately and timely.
- Address customer inquiries regarding banking products and services.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of new account opening procedures.
- Keep current with information on the Bank's products and services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Banking.
- Knowledge of Banking procedures and regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced computer skills.
