About the Role
Join our New Verticals team to grow monthly active usage outside of restaurant ordering, focusing on groceries, retail, and more. You will work on key surfaces like the homepage, vertical landing pages, and notifications to re-engage users. This role emphasizes personalization and ranking, collaborating with colleagues across DoorDash, Deliveroo, and Wolt.
Responsibilities
- Build and improve ranking models for vertical landing pages (grocery, retail).
- Design models that blend new-vertical content into a homepage without disrupting the core restaurant ordering experience.
- Build personalization models to recommend verticals based on user behavior.
- Contribute to notification targeting to drive adoption of new verticals.
Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of experience as an ML Engineer or Data Scientist.
- Proven ability to write high-quality production code in Python.
- Experience with end-to-end model productionization.
- A bias to simplicity and a focus on achieving impact.
