About the Role

Join our Insurance Consulting and Technology (ICT) team and contribute to impactful projects from the start. This eight-week internship offers hands-on experience in actuarial consulting and technology within the Property and Casualty (P&C) sector, covering reserving, capital, and pricing, as well as data science, process transformation, and more.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to a variety of client, research, and development projects.
  • Utilize actuarial and statistical modeling techniques to analyze data and produce insightful results for clients.
  • Present analysis to colleagues.
  • Collaborate with colleagues globally to address real-world actuarial problems.
  • Develop core technical and consulting skills through hands-on experience and team support.
  • Learn and apply open-source tools and technology, alongside WTW's proprietary insurance technology solutions.
  • Grow through structured early-career training and ongoing learning from subject matter experts.

Requirements

  • Be highly numerate and analytical, with the ability to solve complex commercial problems using innovative approaches.
  • Be a clear and confident communicator, able to make complicated ideas understandable and engaging.
  • Be personable, approachable, and motivated to work as part of a supportive team.
  • Be comfortable using AI tools to support work, understanding their strengths and limitations.
  • Have an interest in AI, data science, and emerging technologies, with an aptitude for exploring and applying new approaches.
  • Be in your penultimate year at university.
  • Be on course to achieve a 2:1 degree, A-level Mathematics at grade A or above, and at least 136 UCAS points across three A levels, or equivalent qualifications (e.g., AAB or A*AC).
