About the Role
Join our Insurance Consulting and Technology (ICT) team and contribute to forward-thinking choices about people, investments, and risks. This eight-week internship offers hands-on experience in data science, actuarial pillars, and technology within the Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance sector.
Responsibilities
- Analyze data using data science techniques to produce insightful results.
- Present analysis internally and to clients.
- Collaborate with colleagues globally.
- Build core technical skills through hands-on experience and team support.
- Deliver data science projects involving machine learning model development, assessment, and deployment.
- Write high-quality code.
- Learn and apply open-source tools, technology, and WTW’s proprietary insurance technology solutions.
- Grow through structured early-career training and ongoing learning from subject matter experts.
Requirements
- Highly numerate and analytical with the ability to solve complex commercial problems.
- Clear and confident communicator capable of making complex ideas understandable.
- Personable, approachable, and motivated to work as part of a supportive team.
- Comfortable using AI tools and understanding their strengths and limitations.
- Interest in AI, data science, and emerging technologies.
- Aptitude for exploring and applying new approaches to solve problems.
- In your penultimate year at university.
- On course to achieve a 2:1 degree.
- A-level Mathematics at grade A or above.
- At least 136 UCAS points across three A levels, or equivalent qualifications (e.g., AAB or A*AC).
