About the Role

Serve as the liaison between hotel operating departments and clients, striving to balance service and profitability. Your goal is to capture the hotel's fair share of revenue through food, beverage, room rental, and auxiliary services.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a balance of account maintenance, prospecting for new business, and building profitable client relationships.
  • Produce marketing plans and assist in developing the annual sales budget, implementing monthly action plans to meet sales goals.
  • Complete weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual production reports, as well as weekly and monthly sales activity reports.
  • Create appropriate sales collateral and tools for the department.
  • Assist with additional reports and special projects as assigned.
  • Coordinate menu arrangements for conference clients to maximize hotel revenue potential while meeting client needs.
  • Assist conference clients with off-premise details that may affect hotel service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate space blocks in the group function log, ensuring timely turnovers and appropriate space release.
  • Support revenue growth by assessing and monitoring room rental fees, electrical charges, telephone charges, and other revenue-generating factors.
  • Engage in prospecting, outside sales calls, and networking events to meet goals and budget.
  • Coordinate pre-planning meetings with operational departments and prepare accurate Conference Profiles.
  • Provide comprehensive Post Conference Reports and review client invoices for accuracy before mailing.
  • Adhere to all organization policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in Catering Sales/Conference Management.
  • Extensive knowledge of food and beverage etiquette, guest relations, and service standards.
  • Ability to analyze client needs and negotiate pricing and client requests.
  • Interpersonal skills to provide overall guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to wear multiple hats and take on responsibilities outside of the job description.
  • Maintain flexible hours to accommodate customer and business needs.
