About the Role
As an Admissions Counselor, you will connect with prospective students daily via phone, text, and email to build trust, discover their goals, and guide them through the admissions process. You will help students understand expectations, assess if Campus is a good fit, and support them in taking the next step. This performance-driven role requires empathy, clear communication, and persistence, ideal for those who love helping people and thrive in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Build trust and rapport with prospective students through high-energy, student-centered conversations.
- Identify and troubleshoot common student challenges, including process confusion, college readiness, or emotional stress.
- Conduct admissions interviews to uncover each student’s goals, motivations, and potential barriers.
- Guide and follow-up consistently with students through the application and enrollment process.
- Assist students in completing their application and understanding the Campus program, schedule, and expectations.
- Use sound judgment to help students navigate ambiguity, objections, or frustration with clarity and care.
- Manage a personal pipeline, making 80+ calls daily, conducting interviews, and following up consistently via phone, text, and email.
- Manage daily tasks, follow-ups, and notes with precision using Salesforce and structured outreach tools.
- Maintain clean, accurate documentation to support seamless handoffs between Admissions, Financial Aid, and Onboarding.
- Thrive in ambiguity, pivot often, and stay motivated and persistent despite repeated rejection or student drop-off.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Clear, confident phone communication and strong written follow-up
- Comfort with metrics and performance targets
- Familiarity with tools like Salesforce, Google Sheets, or other CRMs (or eagerness to learn)
- Proven ability to manage a high volume of outreach and follow-up
- Must be located in or near the Austin area.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring new H-1B sponsorship.
- Able to support H-1B transfers and sponsor TN visas for eligible Canadian and Mexican citizens.
