About the Role

The Data Development Consultant will act as a key resource of the Data Operations and Engineering team, supporting Marketing Services products like MTA and MMM. This role involves daily support activities such as fixing code issues within the big data pipeline and backend, analyzing data-related issues, and undertaking development tasks for the data pipeline. The position requires collaboration with stakeholders across solution Architecture, Consulting Services, Product, and Engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manages day-to-day activities and works on assigned tasks to facilitate successful completion of team projects and initiatives.
  • Plays a key role in end-to-end data onboarding and creating data pipelines for end applications.
  • Performs in-depth analysis of source data to provide insights for data mapping and business rules setup.
  • Develops, codes, and implements data pipelines.
  • Ensures successful data onboarding at an individual client level.
  • Works cross-functionally with Product Managers, Solution Architects, Data Modelers, and Consultancy Services to align with and achieve team goals.
  • Develops deep knowledge of in-house tools and applications to suggest improvements and assist Advisory Services and Solution Architects.
  • Determines how best to accomplish objectives under limited supervision.
  • Exercises independent judgment to solve problems.

Requirements

  • Excellent SQL skills and in-depth understanding of relational databases.
  • Experience with distributed systems frameworks like Hadoop, including hands-on experience with HDFS, MapReduce, and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Good knowledge of UNIX environments and exposure to shell scripting.
  • Working knowledge of large-scale multi-node clusters with technologies like HDFS/Big Query, Hive.
  • Knowledge of database design principles such as OLAP, OLTP, and ETL.
  • Adherence to company policies, sound judgment, trustworthiness, working safely, communicating respectfully, and safeguarding business operations, confidential and proprietary information, and the company’s reputation are essential expectations.
