About the Role
BlackHawk Data is seeking a highly organized, self-directed Project Coordinator to support the delivery of networking and technology solutions for commercial accounts and state, local government, and education (SLED) customers. This role is central to keeping projects on track by coordinating schedules, tracking deliverables, managing documentation, and supporting multiple concurrent engagements. We’re looking for someone who takes ownership of their workload, anticipates what’s needed, and follows through on commitments without constant direction. Precision, reliability, and independent judgment are important every day.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day project activities across networking and technology deployments for commercial and public sector clients
- Schedule installations, vendor deliveries, technician resources, and other project activities
- Track deliverables and deadlines, proactively identifying risks or delays
- Coordinate with sales, engineering, technicians, vendors, and other internal teams to keep resources aligned and timelines realistic
- Track open action items across active projects and drive them through completion
- Maintain accurate project plans, status reports, change orders, and closeout documentation
- Serve as a point of contact for customer stakeholders on scheduling and administrative project matters
- Prepare meeting agendas, capture and distribute meeting notes, and track action items to completion
- Maintain organized project files and records in accordance with company and customer requirements
- Manage procurement-related documentation, including purchase orders, contract documentation, and compliance checklists
- Support documentation requirements common to public sector projects
- Identify gaps or inefficiencies in project workflows and proactively bring forward solutions
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in project coordination, project administration, or a related support role
- Experience in networking, IT/technology services, or public sector contracting is a strong plus
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage a varied workload with minimal oversight
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and details simultaneously
- Strong follow-through and commitment to driving open items to completion
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable communicating with government and education stakeholders as well as internal technical teams
- Ability to work through ambiguity and determine next steps without waiting for detailed instructions
- Proficiency with project management and productivity tools such as Microsoft Project, Asana, or similar platforms, as well as Microsoft 365
- Familiarity with public sector procurement processes, including RFPs, purchase orders, and cooperative contracts, is a plus
- High attention to detail, particularly around documentation accuracy and compliance-sensitive paperwork
