About the Role
The AV Technician is responsible for installing commercial and professional audiovisual equipment, working closely with project managers, general contractors, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and with excellent quality.
Responsibilities
- Running AV projects
- Adhering to company and client safety guidelines
- Coordinating with the project manager for productivity, job completion, and budget compliance
- Serving as the main on-site customer contact for questions and concerns
- Performing work consistently with a detailed technical knowledge
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues as they arise
Requirements
- Self-motivated with the ability to work under minimal supervision
- Minimum of 5 years of AV installation experience
- Ability to read and implement construction and signal flow drawings
- High standards of workmanship in cabling, lacing, soldering, and crimping
- Ability to fully test completed systems for engineering specifications and operational functionality
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve issues as they arise
Skills
- Network cabling
- CTS certifications
- Familiarity with Extron, Crestron, AMX, and Audio DSP Systems
- Manufacturer's certifications
