About the Role
Join our café team at Montezuma Winery as a Kitchen Helper. This role involves preparing and presenting food, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring food safety in a fast-paced, fun environment.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize all equipment and organize the kitchen.
- Prepare and execute food for Wine Trail events, staff meals, and parties.
- Follow recipes, measure ingredients, chop and slice food, and cook using various methods.
- Wash dishes, sanitize surfaces, take out trash, and ensure proper food storage.
- Check ingredient quality, prevent cross-contamination, and adjust recipes for dietary needs.
- Garnish dishes to ensure they are attractive and appealing.
- Collaborate with kitchen and Tasting Room staff for smooth operations.
Requirements
- Must complete "ServSafe" certification.
- Ability to perform under pressure.
- Understanding of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Basic business math skills.
- Computer literacy, including experience with Square POS system.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent is typically required.
