About the Role

Responsible for reviewing fraudulent activity alerts from fraud detection systems and reports, taking appropriate action to minimize financial losses.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate alerts and reports related to potential misuse of products and services, including account fraud, wire fraud, loan fraud, and identity theft.
  • Implement fraud loss prevention measures such as extending check holds or locking at-risk accounts.
  • Maintain account notes in all appropriate systems.
  • Escalate potential fraud cases to appropriate team members.
  • Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in required training, including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) training.
  • Participate in Credit Union teams, projects, and strategic initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Embrace and apply HVCU’s guiding principles, including Mission, Vision, Core Values, Employee and Member Value Propositions, Sales and Service Model, and Lean Six Sigma practices.
  • Support Credit Union initiatives through teamwork and professionalism.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, General Education Development (GED) certificate, or state authorized high school equivalent certificate required.
  • Minimum 2 years of internal and/or external customer support and service experience required.
