About the Role

We are seeking a fully qualified lawyer to join our growing legal department. In this role, you will provide legal support for our battery storage and renewable energy projects throughout the entire value chain, from project development to transactions, financing, operation, and marketing. You will go beyond pure legal advice and contribute to projects holistically.

Responsibilities

Independent management and leadership of M&A transactions, financing, and strategic projects in the renewable energy and battery storage sectors.
Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating project contracts, including usage agreements, EPC contracts, O&M contracts, and other project-related documentation.
Legal support throughout the entire project lifecycle: from project development and construction to commissioning, operation, and marketing of assets.
Interdisciplinary collaboration with teams from Trading, Origination, Project Development, and Asset Management, driving projects forward with colleagues rather than just advising.
Managing and coordinating external lawyers, integrating external legal advice into project work.
Developing and improving internal processes, contract templates, and knowledge management within the legal department.
Support with due diligence reviews, fund structuring, and financing arrangements.

Requirements

Fully qualified lawyer (1st and 2nd state examinations).
2-3 years of professional experience, with at least some of it in the renewable energy sector.
Ideally, experience in transactions (M&A) and project finance.
Advanced knowledge of project contracts (usage agreements, land registry matters, EPC contracts), energy law, and/or fund structuring is advantageous.
Excellent language skills in German (native level) and English (business fluent) – comfortable in both written and spoken communication.
Affinity for AI-assisted work – proficiently using tools like Claude or ChatGPT with due diligence in daily work.
Structured, proactive, and solution-oriented approach – thinking beyond pure legal advice to set up processes and shape projects holistically.
Entrepreneurial mindset and enjoyment of taking responsibility in a dynamic, fast-growing environment.
