About the Role
Power-Flo Technologies Rochester is seeking a Warehouse Associate/Backup Driver to perform basic warehouse duties and assist with deliveries as needed.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic warehouse work including removing sold parts from stock, placing received parts on shelves, processing items for shipment, receiving, driving, and organizing.
- Pull and stage orders for shipment.
- Organize inventory.
- Maintain a clean driver's license to operate company vehicles.
- Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate delivery vehicles.
- Plan delivery routes to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Obey all traffic laws and parking regulations.
- Safely and efficiently pick up and deliver orders.
Requirements
- 2+ years of warehouse experience required.
- Current, valid, and clean NYS driver’s license (7 years' clean driving record) to operate company vehicles.
- Ability to obtain & maintain DOT certification.
- Ability to follow processes, procedures, and policies.
- Ability to work well independently and on a team.
- Ability to communicate in verbal and written form with functional English skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to drive for prolonged periods.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and push or pull over 100 pounds.
- Ability to work on elevated platforms.
- Ability to climb ladders.
- May require standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, and/or reaching.
- May be exposed to dust, loud noises, and hot and cold conditions.
- Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills may be required for hand tools, power tools, and other machinery.
Skills
- Box Truck experience (16-18 ft) is a plus.
- Flatbed truck experience is a plus.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
- Industry experience preferred.
