About the Role
The Data & Analytics team is building Compass International Holdings' analytical platform, the governed foundation the company runs on. As a Data Analyst, you will leverage this foundation to deliver recommendations that drive decision-making by working cross-functionally with internal teams and business partners.
Responsibilities
- Structure clear options and trade-offs that enable the business to act faster with clarity
- Package complex findings into clear narratives that give business partners the evidence and confidence to make a decision
- Turn the organization's investment in data infrastructure into tangible business outcomes – ensuring data actively drives strategy
- Translate traditional business intelligence and data science assets into concrete recommendations for the business
- Work within a project team to turn reactive requests into structured analytical questions
- Use your technical skills to navigate centrally managed datasets – spending your time on analysis, not data wrangling
Requirements
- Functional proficiency in SQL and basic Python (pandas/EDA) to self-serve from centrally managed datasets
- Ability to break down ambiguous business questions, validate assumptions, and align on scope before diving into analysis.
- Energized by partnering with business leads, curious about unit economics and commercial drivers, and passionate about connecting technical analysis directly to financial outcomes.
- Ability to package complex quantitative data into concise narratives that non-technical partners can act on immediately.
- A self-starter who takes full accountability for their work, consistently seeks feedback, learns from setbacks, and strives for continuous growth.
- Thrives in a cross-functional environment, partnering tightly alongside technical partners and business leads to achieve shared goals.
