About the Role
Substitute Teachers are sought to provide instruction and support in a daycare/preschool setting for children aged 2-4 when regular teachers are absent. The role involves implementing lesson plans, managing student behavior, and fostering a safe and positive learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver lessons and activities based on the teacher’s prepared plans.
- Supervise students in the classroom, hallways, cafeteria, and other areas as needed.
- Maintain classroom routines and expectations.
- Provide feedback to the regular teacher regarding student behavior and completion of lessons.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet student needs as appropriate.
- Uphold school policies, rules, and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with students and school staff.
- Ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree or coursework in education preferred.
- Valid teaching certificate or substitute teaching permit (as required by state or district).
- Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is a plus.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain a positive and professional demeanor.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must reside in the US; relocation assistance is not provided.
