About the Role

This internship provides exposure to various HR functions, including recruitment, employee lifecycle, employee relations, training and development, diversity and inclusion, and HR administration, offering a comprehensive understanding of HR operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in posting job openings, managing applications, and coordinating interviews.
  • Help organize recruitment events and outreach efforts.
  • Support the onboarding and offboarding process for new hires and departing employees.
  • Prepare onboarding and offboarding materials and assist with orientation sessions.
  • Assist with employee and managerial inquiries in partnership with the People Team.
  • Take detailed notes during intake calls and update the tracker.
  • Participate in the planning and coordination of training programs.
  • Track attendance and feedback for training programs.
  • Help plan and coordinate D&I initiatives.
  • Support employee engagement surveys and analyze results.
  • Maintain employee records, prepare reports, and update HR databases.
  • Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs and respond to employee inquiries.

Requirements

  • Must be available to work in the NYC office from Monday – Thursday for 28 hours per week, from June 7 – August 12, 2027.
  • Available to work in a full-time capacity in 2027 or 2028.
  • Open to rising seniors, recent graduates, master’s students, or entry-level candidates with up to 1 year of work experience.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an undergraduate or master’s program.
  • A passion for books is highly valued.
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Basic understanding of HR principles and practices is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
