About the Role
This internship offers exposure to Strategy, Innovation, Business Process Reengineering, and Business Development teams at HarperCollins Publishers. You will explore the future of reading, AI's impact on publishing, and new distribution channels for books.
Responsibilities
- Identify top technology and consumer trends impacting the publishing business from a business and innovation perspective.
- Undertake ad hoc strategy and innovation projects, including workflow/process analysis for business improvements.
- Support various teams in analysis and reporting on ad-hoc projects.
- Conduct ebook and audiobook sales analysis.
Requirements
- Must be available to work in the NYC office from Monday – Thursday for 28 hours per week, from June 7 – August 12, 2027.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Resume and cover letter required; address cover letter to “Hiring Team.”
- A passion for books is highly valued.
- Ability to gather and consolidate information into executive-level communication.
- Ability to use PowerPoint well.
- Excel proficiency and analytical skills.
- Word proficiency.
- Basic understanding of statistics and data analysis.
- Comfortable reading and interpreting cross-tabular survey data.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite is required.
